Mini 1275 GT - Rally Spec

This 1979 Mini 1275 GT has been fully rebuilt and features a huge spec.  Fast, clean, retro and a little obnoxious, this is enjoyable on the road but it itching for some competitive use.

The mini was tuned on a rolling road October 2022 and produced 99.7 bhp with room for improvement.  With both seats fitted and fuel in the tank it weighs 594 kg, with myself in the driving seat it is 663 kg and cross corner weights are within 0.25%.

Spec as follows:

Body:  Bare shell build, multi-point weld in CDS roll cage, enlarged rear shock turrets, stiffened toe board, aluminium boot floor, lightened steel boot lid, lightened steel doors, fibreglass front end, fibreglass bonnet, tubular front bumper, CDS front subframe mounting points tied to roll cage, crash cans behind bumper mounts, adjustable bucket seat mounts, flush harness mounts, fully functional roof scoop, white body, black roof, full stone-chip underside, waxoyl injected sills, external battery cut off and extinguisher pulls, LED headlights, spotlight ready, sill stand tubes installed (stands included in sale).

Mechanical:  Alloy front brake calipers and 7.5" discs, alloy finned rear drums, titanium handbrake levers, adjustable front tie rods, adjustable bottom arms, polybushes, red dot cones (front) Hi-Lo adjustable trumpets (front), Spax gas dampers (front), custom rear beam, custom radius arms (CDS) with Rose joint adjustment, Avo coilovers (rear), reinforced front subframe, solid subframe mounts, alloy fuel tank with baffled trapdoor pickup and VDO sender, Facet fuel pump, 10" Exacton alloys, Yokohama AO32R tyres.

Internal:  Full carbon dash, OMP Corsica steering wheel with Go-Race quick release, Stack tachometer, Stack oil pressure gauge, Stack water temp gauge, Stack fuel gauge, GPS speedo, full bespoke wiring harness, relays and fuses mounted in dash, co-drivers map light, Sabelt drivers bucket seat, Cobra co-drivers bucket seat, 6 point harnesses, internal gear linkage, hydraulic handbrake, rear brake bias valve, battery isolator, extinguisher ready, heated windscreen, roof mounted fresh air vents, polycarbonate side and rear windows with sliding front openings.

Engine:  1275cc +40 (1310cc), ported head, 35.7mm inlet and 29.5mm exhaust valves (TBC), 1.5 alloy roller rockers, alloy rocker cover, AE pistons, peened and balanced rods, ARP rod, main and head fixings, lightened knife edged and back drilled crankshaft, lightened billet flywheel, orange clutch cover, straight cut drops, straight cut close ratio gearset, semi-straight cut crownwheel and pinion (believe 4.1 ratio but TBC), plate LSD, long alloy inlet manifold, Weber DCOE 40, Mangoletsi twin cable DCOE linkage, K&N deep filter, Filter King filter and regulator with glycerine filled fuel pressure gauge ceramic coated Maniflow LCB manifold, silicone coated centre pipe, silicone coated repackable silencer, polybushed alloy RH top engine steady, custom alloy LH top engine steady, LH and RH gearbox steadies, braided oil filter return, front mounted full width radiator, 10" electric radiator fan, alloy swirl tank, silicone hose kit, Nodiz ignition ECU, Ford coil pack, 8.5mm silicone HT leads, NGK plugs, MED crank sensor kit, MED lightweight crank damper kit and trigger wheel, high-torque starter motor, Denso alternator.


There is a spares package available which includes matching spare wheels, driveshafts, engine and gearbox parts, complete jig for replacement radius arms, exhaust sections, crash cans, suspension and steering components etc.
